TED WILLIAMS 9KM     Inverness, Florida     November 6, 2004

Why the odd distance of 9km? Because the Splendid Splinter's now retired number with the Boston Red Sox, was, yep, #9!

NEW YORK CITY MARATHON                        November 7, 2004

The women's race was the closest ever for the event. The weather was surprisingly warm, but a good day for Forerunners. Sisters Darlene and Monica win negative split kudos for their second half being seventeen minutes and thirty seconds faster than their first! Draceana and Kris ran every step together for Ceana's PR Michael Coyne who lives in Newfoundland Canada ran a PR with a negative split of five minutes and twenty seven seconds!

GOBBLER 1 MILE                                              November 25, 2004
Clearwater HS       Largo, Florida

Several members used the 8:30AM Gobbler as a warm up for the 10 KM or a cool down from the 5KM race ... or both!
Beth Wonicker-Cook ran most of it thinking it was the 10KM!
Only the first place finishers were published with official times. Let us know your time if you'd like it to be included in these results.

OUTBACK HALF MARATHON                      November 25, 2004
Downtown Jacksonville, Florida

Sheila surprised herself with her pace and another PR – well over eight minutes! Must be the track workouts and daily training.

THANKSGIVING PREDICTION 10 MILE      November 25, 2004
Honolulu, Hawaii

The winner of this type of event is usually not the first to cross the line, but the person who finishes the closest to predicting their time prior to the event. No splits, watch or visible clock for the runner to refer to. Not even the finish clock!
Our guy Mike did not listen to his coach's advice and predicted 1:04:30. He did not win. Coach recommended 1:02:30!
Team member Dan McClenathan, keenly aware of time and pacing, won a watch at one of these events. His win was on this side of the globe, back in the year 2000 ... without a consult.
