Indian Summer weather in the City. Warm, dry, and windless. Strange conditions for our humidity trained Forerunners warriors. Maria blasted off at the half marathon for a four-minute negative (faster second half) split and a gold star from Coach. Ian says the hills on the bridges kicked his butt. Stephanie ran with a nasty cold (not recommended for a fun time). Dan says he waited in line so long to finally line up for the 10:20am start that he was tired before Frank (Sinatra) started singing New York, New York.

77 yr old Emery was pummeled and knocked to the pavement and at the madhouse start of this event. The 600 starters were funneled through a narrow opening shortly after the start. 586 made their way to the finish.

A good showing for the team with lots of trips to the awards stand. Mary Ann won the 15KM and Karen was seconds out of the Masters win in her first time at the distance and first race as a master.
