FORERUNNERS JULY 2002 RACE RESULTS

23RD ANNUAL MIDNIGHT RUN 10KM & 3KM    July 4, 2002
Dunedin Causeway      Dunedin, Florida

1300+ in the two races we’re told. The boys (Steve, Dan, Jim D, and David) swept their 30-34 age division. Jeanne Lesniak stormed the women's race in fourth place, and with Carol and Jennifer finished 1, 2, 4, in the 25-29 group. Only one team PR on this night, or morning depending on your perspective……Jim Rogan’s 44:57, six minutes under his previous standard. A few miles. A little speed work. Amazing what happens!

39TH CALGARY MIRACLE MARATHON                July 7, 2002
Downtown Calgary,       Alberta, Canada

Like all of southern Canada, Calgary sweltered in f80 heat on this Sunday. Nancy, who lives in North Bay, Ontario and trains mostly in long tights to keep warm, ran the first of her planned six marathons at age 60. She won her F60 division by default, apparently the only Canadian sexagenarian gal ready for the distance on this day.
