Steve won this race the second year in a row. 25 year old Hank Campbell crossed the finish line first in a time of 15:20, but forfeited the win to Steve by failing to enter the race.

Our Masters women's team was called to the stage in the grand hall at the Copley Plaza to collect their award for the third time in a row. Mary Ann has been the constant on each team. Christy, back in marathon shape, led the team after being sidelined from the event since Chicago 2003. Denise ran the most evenly paced race of all our women – 1:37:22/1:38:55. The three scoring members were followed by Karen and Amy – requalifying on a difficult day due to the headwind and 18 percent humidity. Dry air feels good but is foreign to most of us Floridians. There were many salt caked, sunburned bodies crossing the finish line. Karen set the only PR of the day.
Michael ran the most evenly pace of all Forerunners at just 1:18 slow down in the second half.
Bess Anderson joined the other first time Boston ruuners Karen, Jocelyn, Leslee, Marjorie, Albert, and Bruce on the start line but opted to ride in from the Woodland T station at about the 17 mile mark with family members who had gone out to cheer her on. First time cheerleader Colleen Christensen used the MBTA system and determination to see Bruce at an unprecedented four places including Hopkinton and not counting the finish line!
Results are shown as chip time along with pace per mile, "R" indicates the time is a requalifier for next years Boston.
A second section shows clock time followed by the time it took the runner to get to the start line after the gun was fired.
There were 17,549 finishers.
